Moon Goddess Hill

“Midwinter is nearly upon us! I feel the chill in my bones

and wanted to create this first December image to reflect that feeling.

The nights are still and cold with no clouds. As I looked out of the window

I could feel the frostiness in the air. I watched the first snowflakes of winter

fall as a lace curtain over the three hills in the distance

whilst the three sacred groves stand sentinel to the Wiltshire landscape.

The last month of the year will complete the years circle

and all phases of the moon will start anew.

Time for tea and toasted crumpets.

I open my sketch book and draw some ideas

as I curl up on the sofa enjoying the warmth of the fire. Winters not so bad!”
