February Snow at Stonehenge
I remember when a few years ago the snow
dominated the Wiltshire landscape.
It made the ancient neolithic monuments
of the county even more mysterious.
Stonehenge was indomitable on the sky line
of Salisbury Plain.
I was drawn to visit the stones one late afternoon
when the pink and purple rays of the winter sunset
bled through the monolithic circle.
I was dwarfed by the magnificence of both.
I had to try and capture the moment.
