Mad March has arrived!
I like March! It’s the threshold of Spring.
Yes, I know the weather is all a bit crazy:
going out without an umbrella
and it chucks it down,
or wearing that fab hat
you bought in the January sales
and it blowing off into a puddle
or looking at the clear sky and thinking
you don’t need that extra
cardigan and ouch,
it’s really cold again!
All those irritating things have a silver lining.
The rain cleans the air
and when the sun shows it’s self,
the atmosphere is crystal clear.
The wind, blows away all the old leaves
and dirt of winter, preparing
the stage for a beautiful Spring
that’s waiting in the wings for it’s entrance.
The cold, well, I don’t like it either,
but without it we wouldn’t appreciate the warm days!
These four images of March Magical Months
show the changing patterns of the weather
and the landscape.
The Spring Equinox is on the 20th March
where night and day are nearly equal.
Long light evenings are coming.
March Hare has Hat, gives encouragement
to us to step forward
and join the party,
be ready and see opportunities that,
when first seen, may look strange and unfamiliar.
Be brave and sit down at the table and see what’s on offer.
The final image is of Minerva,
the goddess of wisdom and light.
Here she is, pushing through
the protective seed
to soar into the light and warmth
of the sky above.
It’s coming: that energy of growth and life.
Embrace it and enjoy the ride.
My original mixed media work takes a long time from research to
printing, drawing, collage and painting. This work is reflected in
the price. But you will own a one off, original piece of art.
To embrace younger or newer art collectors I experimented by
using photos of my original series of ‘WiltshireLandscapes’ and
manipulating them digitally. This has allowed me to offer
a series of artwork at much lower prices.
This is part of my collection of ‘Magical Months’.
These are images based on my
original works of art and
manipulating them digitally.
This has allowed me to offer
a series of artwork at much lower prices.
They are bright, saturated with colour and fun.
Each month I will post different work, therefore a whole series of
the twelve months can be collected.
