June Silbury Hill Phoenix
Nobody is sure of what Silbury Hill was built for.
I think it was one of the great Neolithic meeting places
around Avebury in Wiltshire.
It is man made and I like to think that ancient men
and women celebrated their festivals of the changing year
with a great bonfire on the top of the hill.
This would be seen far into the distance.
Silbury Hill has withstood centuries of change,
and the beacon shines with hope for the future.
Be as the Phoenix, rise from the ashes and proclaim,
Vincit qui se voncit, He/she who conquers,
conquers him/herself.
